Oakridge Public Schools Hires New Athletic Director

Oakridge Superintendent, Tom Livezey, is pleased to announce that Santino Di Cesare has been hired as the Athletic Director for Oakridge Middle School and High School. Di Cesare was previously employed with The Potter’s House High School and Middle School in Wyoming, Michigan where he served as Athletic Director for grades 7-12. Prior to his work at The Potter’s House, Di Cesare assisted the Athletic Director at Wayland Union HS and at Hope College. Di Cesare received a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Administration from Hope College, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University.

Di Cesare is replacing former Athletic Director, Gene Gifford, who led the Oakridge Athletics Program for 5 years. Gifford announced his retirement in the spring of 2017. “We appreciate Gene Gifford’s 5 years of service to Oakridge. His extensive experience leading coaches and student athletes showed in his leadership. We wish him well in his second retirement and congratulate him as he takes on a new opportunity of coaching athletics at the collegiate level,” said Superintendent Tom Livezey.

“We are excited to welcome Mr. Di Cesare to our staff and we’re looking forward to seeing his leadership and connection with our community here at Oakridge.”
