Manufacturing Day – A Trip to Eagle Alloy

Oakridge High School students celebrated Manufacturing Day Thursday, October 5, at Eagle Alloy, Inc., 5142 Evanston Ave.  Students were able to tour both Eagle Alloy and Eagle Precision Cast Parts on their trip.  Students saw demonstrations related to CAD, robotics and metal casting and learned about careers within the industry.  Eagle Alloy was founded in 1979 with 3 employees and now employs almost 300 workers.  The facility is currently hiring. Modern manufacturing plants like Eagle Alloy offer great opportunities for secure, good-paying jobs in a technology-driven industry.  Eagle Alloy was named 2015 Metalcaster of the Year by Modern Casting magazine.
