Attention all basketball players – The team will be attending a Muskegon Community College basketball game on January 25th. All players will meet at Wolfies at 6:00pm for a pre-game dinner. Parents are also welcome.

The Geography Bee will be held tomorrow at 2:45pm in the media center. Good luck to all students.

Attention skiers and snowboarders – make sure to get permission slips and money turned in for the upcoming trip to Cannonsburg. Remember, this trip is limited. We currently have approximately 15 spots left for middle school and high school students. This will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. See Mr. Bassett if you have any questions.

Men of Honor will be meeting today at 3:00pm in Room #13, Mrs. Doney’s room.

Both the 7th grade and 8th grade boys’ basketball teams lost to Montague on Monday. The seventh grade team lost with a score of 44 to 38. Scoring for the team:

The boys’ basketball teams begin the first round of tournament play today here at Oakridge. Both teams play the Montague Wildcats. The seventh grade game begins at 4:00pm with the eighth grade game to follow. Good luck to both teams.

Weight lifting for middle school athletes will continue to be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:00pm. Proper workout clothes of shorts, t-shirt and athletic shoes are required.

Students are no longer using the old doors that face Wolf Lake Road, but instead use the new one. If you have any questions in regards to this, stop in the office for clarification.

Today is another Teens United Day. Students and staff are wearing orange in support of anti-bullying. Members of Teens United will be selling orange ribbons for 25 cents for anyone who doesn’t have any orange to wear. There will be a drawing at the end of the day for students wearing orange.

Welcome back! Hopefully everyone had a restful Christmas break and are ready to get back to school.

Open Gym will be held for any girl interested in volleyball this Thursday from 3:00pm – 4:30pm in the middle school gym. A physical is not required to attend.

Teens United would like to wish everyone a happy new year and please remember to wear orange tomorrow!! There will be a drawing at the end of the day for any students wearing orange. We will be selling ribbons for 25 cents in the morning for those of you that don’t have any orange:) Teens United WILL meet during lunch today as usual.
