Help -2018/19 Artprize Inspired Collaborative Project

Mr. Erndteman, our STEAM teacher from the upper elementary, is asking for your help. Please see his message:

I need LOTS of Red, White and Blue fabric, tissue paper, stickers, small light objects/items, etc.. & Black and White  4 1/2″x 4 1/2″ copies of photos of Service Men and Women from our lives and the lives of our students.  I have already asked the students to bring these items in, but I wanted to make sure I included all of you as well.  If you have a Service Man or Woman in your family, please send in a B&W copy of the photo so we can include them on the flag.  I would like to begin work on the project as soon as next week.
We will be recreating an inspiring Artprize piece created by Auburn Elementary School the piece is called: Common Thread A Tapestry of Courage.  It will hang in the cafeteria for all of our students staff and parents to enjoy.
The flag is made from appx 250 red, white and blue decorated 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ boxes.  The students will be making the boxes and decorating them with red, white and blue pieces of fabric and whatnot to give them an interesting texture.  Each box also has a black and white picture of a Service Man or Woman on one side.
When complete the flag will be appx. 10 feet wide and 7 feet high.
