Tia M. Peterson Scholarship

The Tia M. Peterson Scholarship Fund was established in 2012 to honor the 21-year teaching career of a dedicated Oakridge Public School educator. Tia Peterson came from humble beginnings and a non-traditional student history to become a graduate of Muskegon Community College (Associates) and Western Michigan University (Bachelors and Masters). Her focus on caring for students educationally, emotionally and spiritually set an example for those around her. This memorial fund is intended to support and encourage future educators in their pursuit of service to children. The deadline to submit a completed application is May 1st.
