About CFMC Scholarships

If you’re a high school or homeschooled senior, current college student, early college senior, or adult learner, the Community Foundation for Muskegon County (CFMC) may have a scholarship for you. We manage one of the largest scholarship programs in our area, with $1.3 million committed to students in over 800 new and renewed scholarships awarded each year.

Application Process

Centralis Competition is Open to All Students with a 3.7 or better GPA

Due to the continued impact COVID-19 has had on your seniors, we are pleased to waive the SAT/ACT requirement for this year’s Centralis Scholarship Competition. Your students with a minimum high school GPA of 3.7 are invited to compete for one of these prestigious awards.

Centralis Scholar – 100% of tuition and fees (up to 33 credits per academic year), room and board, and a one-time $5,000 award for a study away experience

Centralis Gold – 100% of tuition (up to 33 credits per academic year) and a one-time $5,000 award for a study away experience

Scholarship applications are due January 1. Students must have a completed admissions application on file by January 15 to qualify.

Awarded to graduating high school seniors from public or private schools in the Kent, Muskegon, and Ottawa Intermediate School Districts with an interest in pursuing a career in science.

The 2021 Rosa Parks Scholarships ($2,000) application is now available.

Rosa Parks Scholarship Foundation

This is an annual scholarship and is open to all Michigan high school seniors.
