Growing Together

Established in 1957, Oakridge Public Schools now proudly educates nearly 2,000 students in grades K-12. We continually strive to be an example for other school districts to follow by providing an exemplary educational experience to all students. 100% of our teachers are state-certified, highly-qualified educational professionals and teach with an average of 13 years of experience at their backs. Nearly half of them hold Masters Degrees and they’re backed by an administration that lets them teach their way, the way their students learn best, while providing the tools and assistance in the classroom they need and deserve to continuously improve.

Student-Centric

Every decision we make and every meeting we have begins and ends with the student experience. We have, and always will, put students first. Their safety is our absolute top priority and we have made substantial investments to ensure it. From bullet-resistant window upgrades to state-of-the-art video surveillance and from single point of entry renovations to classroom door barricade devices, Oakridge Public Schools is committed to ensuring that our facilities are the safest places a child can be. We’re doing everything we can to build them an environment that is clearly tailored to their needs.

Community-Based

Oakridge exists within Muskegon, MI and our success wouldn’t be possible without the Muskegon area community. We have many community partnerships that benefit both the school district and the Muskegon area because our community understands that educated, engaged citizens benefit everyone around them.
