Congratulations Ali Masterman!
Oakridge High School student Ali Masterman has been recognized for her outstanding artistic talent, earning multiple awards and scholarships this year.
Masterman recently won $100 from the VFW for her Ink Portrait Drawing, which she entered into this year's Young American Creative Patriotic Art contest. She also received a $1000 scholarship from the Betten Auto Student Art Exhibition for her Self-portrait Ceramic Bust titled “Nature’s Embrace.”
These awards follow her $1000 first-place win in the Visual Arts category at the West Michigan Showcase in March. In total, Masterman has earned $2100 in recognition of her artistic achievements this year.
"Ali is an incredibly talented and dedicated student," said Sara Goodrich, Visual Arts Teacher at Oakridge High School. "Her passion for art and her skill in various mediums are truly exceptional. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and look forward to seeing her continued success."
Masterman's work demonstrates a range of artistic abilities, from ink portraiture to ceramic sculpture. Her pieces have resonated with judges and audiences alike, earning her well-deserved recognition and financial support for her future artistic endeavors. Her plan is to enroll at Kendall College of Art and Design after she finishes her senior year, next year.
